It’s hard to think about fall because no one wants summer to end and we’ll definitely be soaking up every last bit of summer. But, fall is around the corner and does bring lots of new and exciting things- back to school, sweaters, turning of the leaves, Halloween, and of course new beauty trends!
With a second summer coming to an end we are feeling even more at home and continuously amazed by the support of you, our clients. We have come a long way since last June when we had one client a day, and we couldn’t have done it without each and everyone of you. We are excited to start looking to the fall and see what it will bring our way!
Fall- a time for a fresh new start and in a way, it’s like starting a new year. A time to stay cozy, start making new goals, and indulge in the coming beauty trends. We are believers in goal boards so we can’t wait to start creating new goals for Aurora Boutique. We want to fill it with things like both of us taking new education and product knowledge classes, bringing in a new retail line, keeping updated with our current retail lines, and some feng shui to the salon. One thing will always stay the same for us, we will continue to deliver high quality and unique services and products. The most important thing to us here at Aurora Boutique is to always give services and products that we stand one hundred percent by.
Ah fall trends, just scrolling Pinterest filled with pictures of sweaters, boots, deep colours, dark lips and lattes in hand brings excitement. Fall is a time for big changes and bold statements. And we LOVE it! Perusing Pinterest and articles to check out what’s coming our way this fall brings us inspiration and eagerness for the coming season.
We’re seeing fashion trends of fringe, faux fur, leather, glitter, metallics, denim, patchwork, sand and olive tones. Of course, we can’t forget about the plaid and flannel!
We can never wait to see what fall will bring to the hair world! We all love to go a little darker with our hair in the fall. But, going darker isn’t the only coming trend. Did you work really hard to lighten your hair this summer and aren’t ready to see it go? No worries, we’re seeing trends of adding face framing highlights to brunettes. Ashy, golden, caramel, and really multi tonal blondes have been seen on the runway. However, if you are feeling like making the fall leap, ash browns, deep mahoganies with golden brown touches, and of course ink black are all back. If you love the bold colours of reds and purples as well as don’t mind the upkeep, fire reds and rich burgundy/purples never go out of style in fall! Whatever the colour, we are seeing a lot of natural looking hair, low maintenance colours with tons of tones and natural looking highlights. As for styles- vintage buns (yes, I’m talking 90’s Spice Girl buns), sleek ponytails with textured ends, romantic stretched out waves, and pretty but easy updos such as the crown braid. With our newly offered Teach.Me Hair Class you can book an hour with Olivia to learn how to master these fall styles!
Makeup looks for fall always get the creativity and daringness flowing as we switch from our summer natural glow routine to more faired skinned and bolder colours. One big trend coming this fall is metallic. Metallic lip and eye colours graced the runways multiple times from multiple designers and makeup artists. Bold coppery, gold and purple metallic colours swept across the lid paired with a smoky black eyeliner are sure to make a statement this fall. You can pair a fierce and bold eye look with a more nude or muted lip to achieve that perfect ying and yang balance. Thick smudged eyeliner and deep berry coloured lipsticks both made a vampy statement on the runways. One term that keeps getting tossed around in the articles is punk. Bold colours such as teal and orange got paired with coal liner on top and bottom to give off that careless punk feeling. If this overall trend is a little too bold for you, try incorporating bits and pieces of it to a more laid-back look- add a touch of brightly coloured liner or try a blue mascara (I know the 80’s called and want their blue mascara back. But all good things come back around?..) Also, switch out those light pink blushes for deeper richer blushes to capture that fall look we all love!
Thanks for reading!
